Welcome to the Reciprocal Exchange Site

This website is designed to assist students who plan to come to UT on an official exchange program established by a formal agreement between universities.

Students in reciprocal exchange status are first selected and nominated by their home universities. Your Study Abroad or International Office exchange coordinator can inform you about procedures at your university and answer specific questions about the application process for exchange students.

This site is organized to help you learn more about the University of Texas at Austin and obtain information especially prepared for reciprocal exchange students. We hope this web site is useful and provides the information you need. Read all these topics carefully and consult with your study abroad advisor and students from your university who have participated in a UT exchange. This should prepare you for a wonderful and rewarding adventure at the University of Texas at Austin!

Immigration Advisors in the International Student and Scholars Services (ISSS) unit of the International Office can answer questions and provide information concerning your immigration or visa status. ISSS hours are weekdays, 9 am to 5 pm, except Tuesday mornings. Payment request forms for on-campus jobs are processed at ISSS.

Study Abroad offices and resource library are on the second floor. Study Abroad advisors are responsible for advising UT students who are interested in a study abroad opportunity. Advisors are assigned specific countries and programs. They often call upon exchange students to help provide information to UT students and to participate in study abroad orientations and information fairs.
