How to apply

Instructions on how to access the on-line exchange student application and retrieve required forms will be provided by your exchange coordinator or study abroad office.

MBA Exchange Students, please visit the MBA International Programs website for application instructions.

To be admitted to UT in reciprocal exchange status, we must have:

  1. Notification from the exchange coordinator/study abroad office at your university that you have been selected to study at the University of Texas under our exchange agreement.
  2. On-line study abroad application submitted. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NAME YOU PROVIDE ON THE ONLINE APPLICATION HAS TO MATCH THE NAME IN YOUR PASSPORT BECAUSE THIS INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO ISSUE YOUR IMMIGRATION DOCUMENTS.
  3. Transcript of university work
  4. Immigration and Financial Support form and required financial support documentation
  5. Academic Information Form
  6. Essay (statement of purpose) - not required for BBA, MBA or Law exchanges.
    ALL the above items must be complete and be received before March 1, for fall semester admission (August-December) and October 1 for spring admission (January - May) to be assured of consideration and prompt issuance of DS 2019 immigration document with which to get a visa.
  7. Fine Arts and Architecture students: Letter(s) of recommendation
  8. Fine Arts and Architecture students: CV/resume
  9. Other documents or helpful information required or suggested by your study abroad office

University study abroad/international offices should send application materials directly to the UT exchange coordinator for their students.

How to apply if you are a TASSEP Student

  1. Notification from the exchange coordinator/study abroad office at your university that you have been selected to study at the University of Texas under our exchange agreement.
  2. On-line study abroad application submitted
  3. Transcript of university work
  4. Immigration and Financial Support form and required financial support documentation
