Immunization & Test Requirements
In order to register for classes at the University of Texas, students are required to provide documentation of:
- Immunization or immunity (history of having had the diseases) to measles, mumps, and rubella. PPD (Mantoux) skin test for tuberculosis (TB) performed in the U.S. and read within the 12 months of admission to the University. Only PPD tests performed in the U.S. will be accepted.
- A University Health Services Pre-Matriculation Health Record form will be sent to you with your acceptance letter and DS-2019 form. Bring the completed and signed UHS Health Record form with you when you come to Austin. Be sure to keep a photocopy.
TB (PPD) testing and any required immunizations needed will be available at the University Health Services (UHS) for a reasonable fee. If the TB test is performed at UHS, it should be done at least two days prior to the date of registration to allow time to interpret the results. UHS will block students from registering for classes until health requirements are met. Questions concerning UHS requirements should be directed to Immunization Compliance Coordinator: IMM@mail.uhs.utexas.edu
