Health Care in Mexico - Guadalajara

HEALTH CARE IN MEXICO

The Destination

Guadalajara, one of Mexico’s most historic and economically important cities, has an attractive colonial downtown. Some of the city’s civic buildings boast masterpiece murals by world-renowned painter, Jose Clemente Orozco.

Guadalajara has been termed the most Mexican of cities because of its mariachi music, tequila, charros (cowboys), historic haciendas and bullfighting tradition. Its arts and crafts which are heavily influenced by both Spanish and indigenous cultures are some of the best in the world. Traditional, yet a center of commerce and enterprise, visitors enjoy open-air markets and trendy malls.

The city is a modern intellectual and cultural center and home to many prestigious universities and museums. The University of Guadalajara, is the largest university in its state, Jalisco.
