Sustainable Architecture and Design

These two integrated seminars on sustainable architecture and design are designed to give students insight into the principles of high-comfort / low-energy architecture.

Munich is a showcase of sustainable planning and design. Students will experience alternative models of: public space, transport, urban planning and mixed-use developments.

The two courses will be taught so that classroom-style teaching, case studies, and related field trips offer the chance to study examples of sustainable design on both a theoretical and an applied level. Students learn about different building technologies, techniques and materials. At the end of the program, the students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge learned in an intense one-week workshop which is part of the Master of Science Program 'Climate-Design' (M.Sc.) at the 'Technische Universität München'.
