CAP Curriculum
University of Texas at Arlington – Fall 2014 / Spring 2015

To be eligible for guaranteed fall 2015 enrollment in the UT Austin School of Undergraduate Studies or College of Liberal Arts, Coordinated Admission Program students at UT Arlington must complete 30 approved semester hours of coursework (including a mathematics course other than College Algebra) with at least a 3.2 grade point average by June 1, 2015.

CAP students may compete for fall 2015 admission as external transfers in Business, Communication, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Geosciences, Natural Sciences, Nursing, pre-Pharmacy, and Social Work. Pursuing admission in these UT programs does not jeopardize automatic admission eligibility in Liberal Arts or Undergraduate Studies.

Approved CAP courses are listed below (with UT Austin transfer credit evaluations). For CAP purposes you can take any listed course, subject to UT Arlington's placement, prerequisite, or other requirements. Courses in which grades lower than C− are earned do not transfer. Consult an academic advisor before selecting courses, and review the Recommended Courses following the list.

Recommended Courses by UT Austin Major

The following recommendations cover major-specific Mathematics, Science & Technology, Visual & Performing Arts, Social Science, or Foreign Language requirements in UT Austin degrees. (English Composition, Humanities, History, and Government requirements are the same in all degrees; choose applicable courses from the list above.)

While it is not a CAP requirement to follow a particular degree plan or to take all the indicated coursework, you are strongly encouraged to choose courses needed in your planned major field of study. Otherwise, you may delay your degree

progress or affect your eligibility to declare a major (especially in Business, Engineering, Geoscience, Natural Science, and Nursing programs, which require completion of specific courses for admission).

Foreign language proficiency requirements are satisfied by completion of a course sequence in one language through the 2nd or 4th semester.

These recommendations conform to degree requirements in the UT Austin Undergraduate Catalog 2014–2016.
