Coordinated Admission Program Curriculum University of Texas at Arlington – Fall 2008/Spring 2009
To be eligible for UT Austin enrollment in fall 2009, students participating in the Coordinated Admission Program at UT Arlington must complete at least 30 semester credit hours of coursework and achieve at least a 3.2 grade point average by June 1, 2009. Approved CAP courses are listed below (with equivalent UT Austin course credit indicated in parenthesis).
Be sure to consult an academic advisor before making final decisions about the courses you take. For CAP purposes you can enroll in any course on the approved list, but you should choose courses that will apply toward your intended major. Enrollment in these courses is subject to UT Arlington's normal placement, prerequisite, or other requirements.
Course recommendations below are designed for degrees in UT Austin's Colleges of Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences (the only divisions offering guaranteed CAP admission), though many apply to other majors as well. If you plan to major in another undergraduate division (Business, Communication, Education, Engineering, Geosciences, Nursing, pre-Pharmacy, or Social Work) your local CAP advisor can help you select appropriate courses from those listed below.
The approved course list is based on information available March 2008 and may be updated as more current information becomes available. All recommended courses are subject to availability and prerequisite requirements at UT Arlington.

| Mathematics |
- At least one mathematics course beyond the level of College Algebra (MATH 1302) is required to complete the CAP program. Students unprepared to take MATH 1302 in their first semester are unlikely to fulfill the minimum CAP mathematics requirement within the available two-semester timeframe.
- College Algebra does not count toward the mathematics requirement or the total number of semester hours required for a UT Austin Liberal Arts or Natural Sciences degree. However, for students needing College Algebra as prerequisite to another mathematics course, MATH 1302 is included in the 30 required CAP semester hours but excluded from the required CAP GPA.
