CAP Curriculum
University of Texas at Tyler – Fall 2009/Spring 2010

To be eligible for fall 2010 enrollment in the UT Austin School of Undergraduate Studies, Coordinated Admission Program students at UT Tyler must complete 30 transferable semester hours of coursework (including a mathematics course other than College Algebra) with at least a 3.2 grade point average by June 1, 2010.

Approved CAP courses are listed below (with UT Austin transfer credit evaluations). For CAP purposes you can take any listed course, subject to UT Tyler's placement, prerequisite, or other requirements. Consult an academic advisor before selecting courses, and review the Recommended Courses following the course list.

Recommended Courses

Major-specific recommendations below differentiate the various Mathematics, Natural Science, Visual & Performing Arts, Social Science, or Foreign Language requirements in UT Austin degrees.

While it is not a CAP requirement to follow a particular degree plan, you are strongly encouraged to choose courses needed in your planned major field of study. Otherwise, you may delay your degree progress or affect your eligibility to declare a major (especially in Business, Engineering, Geoscience,

and Natural Science programs, which require completion of specific courses for admission).

English Composition, Humanities, History, and Government requirements are identical in all UT Austin degrees, and applicable courses can be selected from the list above.

These recommendations conform to degree requirements in the UT Austin Undergraduate Catalog 2008-2010.
