Graduate students earned $193 million through scholarships, fellowships, student loans, teaching and research
assistantships, and other campus employment.
Scholarships
For 2003-2004, the University of Texas at Austin awarded 11,000 scholarships to undergraduates, including
920 National Merit Scholars, 40 National Achievement Scholars, 510 National Hispanic Scholars, 1,150 Presidential
Achievement Scholars, and 370 Longhorn Opportunity Scholars. The average stipend was $3,450 per recipient.
