Jam for Bevo Bucks Song Contest

Do you have what it takes to create a song about Bevo Bucks?
Do you write song lyrics in your spare time? Do you like to sing, rap or play the guitar? Do your friends tell you to start your own music group?
Great! Grab up to 9 of your friends and create an informational song about Bevo Bucks! The song will be featured on a Bevo Bucks informational music video!
Enter your song in the Jam for Bevo Bucks Song Contest and you could win $500 in Bevo Bucks! See below for rules and regulations.
How to Enter
Entries will be accepted starting October 12 until 8:00 a.m. on October 29, 2012. To enter, email bevobucks@austin.utexas.edu with: a YouTube link to your 1-3 minute song recording, the lyrics written out, the names and UTEIDs of all contributors, and a contact phone number. We would also love a short (140 characters or less) description of your song or what inspired you.
Bevo Bucks will post the Top Eight songs on Facebook on October 31. Voting will be open until November 8, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. to whittle the Top Eight songs down to the Final Four songs. The Final Four songs that receive the most likes will go on to the final round of judging.
The Winning Song will be announced on November 15th.
Prizes
The music group with the Winning Song will receive $500 in Bevo Bucks! The $500 Bevo Bucks prize can be divided up between 1-10 students.
The second place song will receive $100 in Bevo Bucks and the third and fourth place songs will receive $50 in Bevo Bucks. This Bevo Bucks prize can also be divided up between 1-10 students.
Your song will be featured on an informational music video about Bevo Bucks! The video is set to come out in the spring semester.
Fine Print
The Jam for Bevo Bucks Contest is open to all current UT students. The submissions can include 1 - 10 students. Song lyrics must be informational about Bevo Bucks, have no inappropriate language, and not violate any copyright rules. Due to the constant changes in Bevo Bucks merchants, we will not accept any songs that include merchant names in the lyrics. The song can be any musical genre and must have lyrics about Bevo Bucks. The song lyrics must incorporate that Bevo Bucks is a prepaid account on the student ID card, and there are over 100 merchants that accept Bevo Bucks on and off campus.
Entry into the contest constitutes the individuals' consent to use his/her/their song, name, likeness and generated content by DHFS and The University of Texas for any promotional or advertising purposes, electronic, audio, or print. Only 2 entries per person is allowed. All individuals in the music group must agree to compete. DHFS student employees are allowed to enter the contest with the consent of their supervisor.
