E-Commerce Accountant
If Asia won't bite, maybe the online world will. That's what Susan Bradley, a Fresno-based CPA, told a California farmer who was counting on an overseas market for his California Pink Lady apples. Pack those Pink Ladies in gift boxes, set up a web site, and sell the tart and tasty fruit to people looking for unusual holiday gifts, Bradley proposed. Like the farmer who turned to Bradley, clients rely on E-commerce accountants to determine if it makes financial sense to sell stuff online and for advice on finding a web site designer, managing credit card and sales records, and keeping hackers away.
Qualifications:
B.S. in accounting plus state certification as a public accountant. E-commerce accountants should understand software and Internet technologies confidently enough to be able to choose subcontractors.
