Who Is Eligible?
For currently enrolled UT-Austin students:
You are eligible at no charge to utilize our counseling services. In a sense you have already paid for it, since the CEC is supported by your tuition payment. So now is the time to make use of this outstanding service while you are still eligible!
For recent UT-Austin graduates:
If you graduated within the last 12 months, you are eligible to participate in our counseling services for a fee of $15.00 per appointment. This is a modest fee compared to the typical fees for career counselors in private practice in the Austin community.
For faculty and staff:
Since the CEC is supported by students' tuition payments, we cannot provide career counseling for faculty and staff. However, UT-Austin staff utilizing their Staff Education Benefit are eligible to participate in our counseling services while they are enrolled students.
For interested public:
The CEC library is open to the public. Since it is a reading room, no books are ever checked out. Over 2,000 resources are there for you, featuring information on occupations, academic majors, internships and graduate school. See hours and location before you come. Parking is only two blocks away in the Brazos parking garage.
