Grad Schools.com allows you to search for programs by university name or by academic subject. There's also lots of information on financial aid and an interesting section on distance learning.

Peterson's Guides to Graduate and Professional Programs provides a comprehensive list of programs organized by academic field and discipline. It provides basic information about the program including names of graduate advisors and liaisons.Books on library shelf

Graduate School Guide has a database you can search by location and academic subject as well as a Q & A section on applying to graduate school.

Review.com is a division of Princeton Review. It can help you search for schools, manage the application process, and find the funds to pay for it all.

U.S. News and World Report has a site that ranks graduate schools, including medical, law, business, engineering, and education programs. You can type in a school and do a search to get the ranking or information like admissions or financial aid. Please note that parts of this website require registration and payment.

E-Learners lists many resources related to online degrees, both graduate and undergraduate, and certificates, and classes.

Graduate Admissions Tests

The GMAT maintains a site with information on how to prepare for the exam, truths and myths about MBAs, profiles of MBA programs, and financial aid.

The GRE also has a site where you can register for the test, get study tips, and take a practice exam.

The MCAT site has everything you need to know about the Medical College Admission Test for medical school.

The Law School Admission Council site contains testing dates for the LSAT, online registration, and practice tests.

UT-Specific Resources

UT's Office of Graduate Studies has a site containing everything you could possibly want to know about applying to graduate programs at UT.

Want to know what grad school is really like? The Intellectual Entrepreneurship Program offers an internship for UT undergraduates who want to learn about the unique aspects of graduate school that make it different from the undergraduate experience. The program helps link students with faculty members and grad students in their area of academic interest and provides an internship for academic credit. There is also an IE Job/Career Resources page that addresses academic jobs, non-academic careers, CVs, and interviewing.

GRE prep courses are offered at the UT Learning Center.

The CEC is here to help with your Personal Statements. Our counselors are ready and willing to review your personal statements for content. For grammar and proofreading: Undergraduates can use the Undergraduate Writing Center, and graduate students can use the Graduate Student Writing Service.

In addition to the resources offered by the Career Exploration Center, resources for students interested in health professions schools and programs can get help with the application and preparation process at the Health Professions Office. For students interested in Law school, additional resources are also available at some of your college Career Services offices. Check with your individual college’s Career Services to speak to a pre-law advisor.
