ITA English Certification Calendar  

In order to be eligible for a TA or AI appointment with student contact, you must complete the following requirements:

  1. Take the Oral English Proficiency Assessment and receive a score of 230 or higher. The dates for the Assessment are listed below.
  2. Attend the ITA Communication Workshop, offered three times a year.
  3. If you conditionally passed the Assessment (with a score of 230-245) and will have a position with student contact, you must take the ITA course during the semester of your appointment. The ITA course is offered in fall & spring semesters.

May 18

Appointments for May testing will be accepted May 4 - 15.
Fall 2009

August 12 - 14 & August 17 - 18

Appointments for August testing will be accepted July 20 - August 14.

November 3 - 5 (afternoons only)

Appointments for November testing will be accepted October 19 - November 2
Spring 2010

January 8, 11, & 12

Appointments for January testing will be accepted December 7 - January 8. Due to seasonal holidays, appointment scheduling may be limited from December 21 - January 1.
