Summer Special Group Housing

About

During the summer, many University departments offer unique opportunities that draw students, both from The University of Texas at Austin and other institutions, to our campus. When students participate in extended-length University programming, housing becomes an important matter for participants. For this reason, DHFS opens its doors to participants of University-sponsored groups each summer by offering Summer Special Group Housing.


Accommodations and Rates

We offer Summer Special Group Housing in Brackenridge, Prather, Roberts and San Jacinto Residence Halls. The rates for Summer 2013 are listed below. All rates include Room, Meals, basic ResNet and applicable sales tax.

Summer 2013: Both Sessions (June 1-August 20)

Shared space with community bath $2,842
Shared space in San Jacinto with private bath $3,537
Single space with community bath $3,956
Single space in San Jacinto with private bath $5,105

Prices include $550 in Dine In Dollars


Summer 2013: One Session (Summer 1:June 1-July 14) (Summer 2: July 14-August 20)

Shared space with community bath $1,470
Shared space in San Jacinto with private bath $1,835
Single space with community bath $2,054
Single space in San Jacinto with private bath $2,658

Prices include $275 in Dine In Dollars


Summer 2013: 9 Week Session (June 1-August 2)

Shared space with community bath $2,162
Shared space in San Jacinto with private bath $2,701
Single space with community bath $3,025
Single space in San Jacinto with private bath $3,915

Prices include $385 in Dine In Dollars


Summer Special Group Dining

Included in Summer Special Group Housing are Dine In Dollars, which can be used to purchase meals at DHFS-run dining facilities. The amount of Dine In Dollars participants are given will vary depending on the session. Learn more about Dine In Dollars.


Reserve Summer Special Group Housing

All UT faculty and staff are eligible to make a Summer Special Group Housing reservation. Completing the reservation is an easy 3-step process:

1. Complete the Summer Special Group Housing reservation request by April 4, 2013.
2. Submit your participant roster by May 1, 2013.
3. Assignments will be available in mid-May for participants who are beginning their stay in June. Assignments will be available in mid-June for participants who are beginning their stay in July.
