[01:30 PM - 03:30 PM]
Enroll for HF5027 through TXClass.
(Leadership) Ms. Jennifer McClain, This program will reference the book Shackleton?s Way: Leadership Lessons from the Great Antarctic Explorer, by Margot Morrell and Stephanie Capparell. He led an expedition to be the first to cross Antarctica in 1914. Though they failed in their mission and spent two years marooned on the ice after their ship got stuck and sank, the entire 27-man crew survived in large part because of Shackleton?s extraordinary leadership and the teamwork he inspired. Learn about some of the leadership traits that helped Shackleton bring his men home alive, and find ways to put these skills to use as you face your current leadership challenges.
