+ Bachelorette, 34 (RIBBON SESSION) (JES HDC) [02:00 PM - 04:00 PM]

Enroll for HF4130 through TXClass.

(Diversity: Awareness) What it means to be single or married or to live a full and happy life has changed dramatically over the past decades. While society rejoices in marriage as the first in a series of happy milestones, it speaks of single people ?of a certain age? ? especially women ? in the hushed tones of pity, worry and regret. Yet more American women today than ever before are, for whatever reason, remaining single. Bachelorette, 34 will examine the pressures society places on women to marry and cultural beliefs surrounding marriage. Learning Outcome: Participants will become aware of the pressures society places on women.

-- If you need accommodations for this class, please contact Philemon Brown at 232-2516 no later than 5 business days, prior to the class. This class is subject to rescheduling if fewer than five people enroll.
