Who Is Eligible for Housing?- Housing for married graduate students
- Housing for married undergraduate and single graduate students
- Undergrad with a minimum of 30 hours and in good standing with the University are also eligible
- Single parents who are the head of household and living with their children
- Same sex roommate accommodations are available**
- **NOTE: All roommates must be registered UT students and must also apply to live at the apartments
Eligibility
Applicants must be admitted or enrolled with the University at the time of application. Applicants are placed on a waiting list according to the date the application is received. Applications are considered for a one-, two- or three-bedroom apartment, not for a specific complex. To encourage a diverse communal living experience, we do not accept requests for a specific apartment, though we will consider your request for a particular complex when possible. Apartments are assigned randomly according to the date an application is received and when the apartment is available for move-in. Enrollment is not required through the summer semester. The initial contract must be for a minimum of one year or longer.

Extended Family Members
Extended family members are allowed to live with students under either of the following circumstances, as approved in writing by the Manager:
- The extended family member(s) is (are) present to assist with childcare responsibilities, or
- The extended family member(s) is (are) legally/financially dependent on the student or the student's spouse.
Maximum Occupancy
The following occupancy restrictions apply:
One Bedroom: Maximum of three (3) occupants
Two Bedroom: Maximum of five (5) occupants
Three Bedroom: Five (5) to seven (7) occupants
Documentation
When the contract is signed, applicants are required to provide the University Apartments two forms of photo IDs (one being their UT), a copy of the marriage license/marriage certificate or Form I-20, birth certificates and passports (when applicable) for children or extended family members. All marriages must be recognized by the State of Texas. These documents must be provided to the office prior to move-in.
Miscellaneous
- Single graduate and three-bedroom apartments are limited.
- First priority for three-bedroom apartments is given to families with five to seven members
- Subleasing is not allowed and could be cause for contract termination
- A student family is limited to a maximum stay of seven years Attending the University
- Attending the University Apartments Orientation is mandatory before apartments keys are distributed
- Same sex roommates are allowed with approval of the manager and is limited to registered UT students with 30 hours of college course credit with an application on file
