- Go on line to get a cash loan.
How do I get my current room for next year?
- Request your current room for next year online. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to return to your current room. Housing Reservations will determine who will be able to return to their current room.
- All current residents are encouraged to find other current residents as roommates. Failure to find a current resident as your roommate may result in loss of your current room or choice of a new room. All current residents will be paired up. This pairing continues through the July freshmen room assignment process.
How do I select a building other than my current building?
-
Indicate your new building preference on line in
Update Housing Choices.
Assignments are made based on original date of application.
Room assignment process begins on February 13.
What is a contract guarantor?
- If you are under 18 years of age, the words "guarantor required" will appear on your contract. Your contract guarantor must sign the contract. You may return the contract without the guarantor's signature and have the guarantor sign a copy of the contract. The guarantor mails the copy with their signature to the Division of Housing and Food Service, P. O. Box 7666, Austin, Texas 78713-7666.
- Parents must be contract guarantors to inquire about contract or payment status. Parents who are granted access through the eProxy system may view contract or payment status on line.
When do I get my building and room assignment?
- You can view your room assignment on February 27.
- Between February 27 and April 10, you can request a room assignment change on line by updating your housing choices. Requests will be processed in original application order.
- All residents, both new and returning, will receive a final room assignment letter in July with check in information. Your room assignment can change based on request and upperclassmen being paired up.
Can I request an incoming freshman as my roommate?
- Not before February 27. After room assignments are made, you may request a new entering student as your roommate on line from Update Housing Choices.
What if I want Honors Housing?
- Only Honors Hall residents are eligible to request a room in the Honors Hall. If you currently live in the Honors Hall, you will be given the option to request Honors Housing when you update your housing choices.
- Requests for rooms in the Honors Hall will be subject to additional criteria. Criteria used include a UT academic record that reflects honors level achievement, continuation in a qualifying honors program, and maintenance of proportionate representation of honors programs in the Honors Hall.
What if I have a poor payment history or a poor disciplinary status with Housing and Food Service?
- If you have a Housing bar or a past due balance you will NOT be eligible to receive a contract.
- If you receive a contract and have a poor payment history or a poor disciplinary status, your contract will be cancelled at the sole discretion of the Division of Housing and Food Service.
What if I would like a single space?
- If you currently have a single, a single contract will be offered. Residents who live in a Littlefield single are not automatically offered a single contract.
- New single requests can be considered when you indicate your request with your contract housing choices online. Singles are offered based on availability and original date of application.
Should I verify my housing status after I receive my room assignment?
