Our residence halls are packed with the amenities and features you'll need to thrive and succeed here at the University of Texas.

Security

Door Access Card Reader

Access into the residential areas of each hall is controlled 24 hours a day with swipe card readers, using the resident's University of Texas ID card. Guests must be escorted at all times.

DHFS has developed fire safety rules to ensure a safe living experience for all residents. Just in case, fire safety devices such as smoke alarms and sprinkler systems are installed in each hall.



Furnished Rooms

Rooms in the residence halls vary in shape and size. All are furnished; some furniture is movable and some furniture is built in.

All of the rooms come fully furnished with beds, desks, chairs and a MicroFridge. Most rooms come with extra-long twin beds.

MicroFridge

Not quite sure what a MicroFridge is?

It is a combination microwave oven and refrigerator, both of which are perfectly sized for student living. It is just what you need for storing and heating up all of your munchies.

There is one in every room!

Community Living

A community atmosphere quickly develops in each hall with the help of the Resident Assistants that live on each floor.

The residents in each hall establish their own visitation and quiet hours (with guidelines).

Trained and attentive RAs are always available to listen to resident's issues and provide caring advice.



Study Lounges

Each residence hall is provided with ample lounges for kicking back and watching TV, studying for the next exam, or just relaxing with some tunes from the piano. All study lounges have wireless internet access.


Computer Labs

Computer labs are located in the residence halls for exclusive use by residents. They are open 24 hours a day and some are staffed with personnel to assist you.

Laser printers are available to use for a small per print charge. The print charge is deducted from your Bevo Bucks.



Internet in Rooms

Each room has two ethernet ports connected to the campus network and wireless internet. The internet service is called ResNet Rooms also include extended cable TV service and Free OnDemand Movies that you can watch from your computer.

You'll need to bring your own computer and TV of course.

Wireless Access

The residence halls are equipped with wireless access points to the Public Network of UTnet, the University's computer network. These wireless access points enable you to access University computer resources and the Internet from the common areas on campus using network-capable laptops and portable devices.

Vending

Got a big thirst or need a snack?

No fear!

Vending machines are located throughout the residence halls.

All are equipped with card readers that accept Bevo Bucks.

Laundry

Each residence hall is equipped with washer and dryers for your convenience.

Remember to separate your colors and head on down to the laundry facilities located in each residence hall.

Each machine is equipped with a card reader to enable you to use your Bevo Bucks and quit spending time searching for quarters!



Markets

Our markets are packed with the convenience items and goodies you want and need! They are really mini grocery stores.

Everything you'd expect from a corner market right here on campus.

Don't have any cash? No worries, use your Dine In Dollars or your Bevo Bucks and receive a 10% discount! Currently, we have three market locations for your convenience:

Need a Roommate

We offer the Profiler Roommate Matching system for your voluntary use.

By answering a few questions on your personal habits and preferences, you can find other residents with similar interests. It is up to you to make contact and enter each others EIDs as your roommate preference.
