Long Session contracts are offered to first time freshmen beginning in November and continue to be offered through the beginning of the following Fall semester. Offers are made based on application date, student's admission to the University and payment of their admissions enrollment deposit. Priority is given to first time freshman. Transfer students, CAP students and upperclassmen are offered contracts beginning in April based on admission to the University. Spring contracts are offered beginning in September and Summer contracts beginning in March.

You will receive an email notification when your contract is offered. It is very important that your e-mail address is kept up to date. Update your email and home address from the Registrar's website.

When you receive your email contract offer; print the contract, which includes the Terms and Conditions. Carefully review the contract and Terms and Conditions. By the offer expiration date,sign and return the contract with a $300 Advance Payment, keeping the Terms and Conditions for your records. If you are not 18 your contract requires a guarantor signature. Your guarantor can be your parents or any person responsible for paying your housing bill. If time is short, you may fax a copy of your contract to (512) 475-6532 or you may email a scanned copy to housing@austin.utexas.edu.

Your housing contract is for room and meals. When you apply for the Long Session your contract is for both Fall and Spring semesters. You are bound to your contract as long as you remain enrolled at the University and attend classes on campus.

Make your housing choices online as soon as you return your contract. Notification of your Long Session room assignment will be mailed to you or viewable online in mid-July. Room assignments are made based on application date. Student will be able to enter housing choices such as roommate preference, special programs, bath and hall choice, access or special needs requirements and ResNet service once the contract has been returned. Housing choices for the Long Session must be completed by July 1. Housing choices for the Spring must be completed by December 1. Housing choices for the Summer must be completed by May 1.
