First Time Freshman Housing Timeline
Fall and Spring - Long Session
| August 1 |
Applications to live on campus are accepted for Fall/Long Session for the next fall once you are Admissions complete. |
| November |
First time freshman contract offers begin. When you sign your contract, please be sure to update your housing choices online. |
| April |
Non first time freshman (including transfer and CAP students) contract offers begin. |
| May 1 |
Your $300 advance payment is refundable only if you are a first time freshman not attending the University and you inform Admissions and Housing of your decision before May 1. You may cancel your contract online from Update Housing Choices. After May 1st, the Advance Payment is not refundable in any event. After August 1, your $300 advance payment is applied to a $500 liquidated damages charge.

Building and room assignment information is emailed. Your room number, bath type, roommate name, home telephone number and email address are included. You will also receive additional information about check-in with this email. You must schedule a check in time. |
| Aug. 1 | If you are a first time freshman and cancel your contract after August 1, your $300 advance payment is applied to a $500 liquidated damages charge. |
| Aug. 20, 2010 |
Residence halls open. You may check in early for an additional daily charge of $50 per night. The dates available for check in are listed
in the check in scheduler. |
| Aug. 22, 2010 |
Last day to claim your room in the residence halls by 4 p.m. If you do not claim your room you will be considered a no show and charged $500 liquidated damages.

First day of class.
