Student life in residence halls |
Do you have a unique design aesthetic? Do you decorate with a burnt orange flair? Do your neighbors compliment you on the comfort and creativity of your room?
Enter your room in the My Pad Room Design Contest, and you could win an iPad! See below for rules and regulations.
Entries will be accepted starting September 17 until 11:59 p.m. on September 30, 2012. To enter, email dhfscontest@austin.utexas.edu with: 3-6 pictures of your room, the names and UTEIDs of you and all roommates, a contact phone number, and your residence hall and room number. We would also love a short (140 characters or less) description of your room.
DHFS will post the Top Ten Rooms on Facebook on October 1. Voting will be open until October 7, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. to whittle the Top Ten Rooms down to the Final Four Rooms. The four rooms that receive the most likes will go on to the Final Four judging.
The Final Four Rooms will be visited by a panel of judges. The judges will include students, faculty, and DHFS staff. The judges will choose the Winning Room based on overall creativity and design.
The Winning Room will be announced on October 12.
The residents of the Winning Room will each receive an iPad 3.
The residents of the other Final Four Rooms (not the Winning Room) will receive $50 in Dine In Dollars.
The My Pad Room Design Contest is open to all current residents in the on-campus residence halls. Single rooms, double rooms, quads, supplemental... any room type is welcome to enter the contest.
