Live Like a Longhorn Room Design Contest
Is your room the best on campus?
Do you have a unique design aesthetic? Do you decorate with a burnt orange flair? Do your neighbors compliment you on the comfort and creativity of your room?
Enter your room in the Live Like a Longhorn Room Design Contest, and you could win $50 Bevo Bucks and a bunch of other goodies!
Entries will be accepted in three categories: Texas Pride, DIY Decorating or Design Star. The Texas Pride category will showcase rooms that simply shout UT spirit. The DIY Decorating category will showcase rooms that create unique and inexpensive objects for their space. And the Design Star category will showcase the rooms that are put together in thoughtful and creative ways. There will be one prize-winning room in each category. See below for rules and regulations.
How to Enter
Entries will be accepted starting September 22 until midnight October 13, 2014. To enter, email firstname.lastname@example.org with: 3-6 pictures of your room, the category you are entering, the names and UT EIDs of you and all roommates, a contact phone number, your residence hall and room number. We would also love a short (140 characters or less) description of your room.
DHFS will post the Top Five Rooms in each category on Facebook on October 14. Voting will be open until October 20, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. to whittle the Top Five Rooms in each category down to the Final Two Rooms in each category.
The Final Two Rooms in each category will be visited by a panel of judges. The judges will choose the Winning Rooms in each category based on overall creativity and design.
The residents of the Winning Room for each category will each receive $50 Bevo Bucks and a bunch of other goodies.
The residents of the other Final Two Rooms (not the Winning Room) in each category will receive a prize pack of goodies.
