Leadership Opportunities 2016

We invite you to consider three great leadership opportunities for students.

Leadership Week (Tuesday, August 16 through Saturday, August 20, 2016)

Leadership Week is hosted by the University Residence Hall Association (URHA), a board of elected student leaders who represent over 7,400 students living in Division of Housing and Food Service residence halls. Leadership Week provides interactive workshops, activities and events encouraging students to be more active in their residence halls and on campus.

A limited number of students are accepted into the annual conference and attendees must live on campus. Leadership Week is free and early check-in fees are waived with successful completion of Leadership Week participation. As part of the conference attendees provide assistance during Mooov-In process shifts.

Judicial Board (J Board)

We are seeking students to participate in a peer review board for policy violations that occur in the residence halls. The Judicial Board meets weekly to hear cases, determine responsibility and assign educational sanctioning when necessary. The group has an advisor to assist. Training is provided for all participants and as such, Judicial Board members must be available for all Fall Leadership Week training dates (August 16 through August 20). Judicial Board members must live on campus to participate and be able to hear cases during the long session 2016-2017.

This is a great leadership opportunity for students at any classification level!
