Summer Special Group Dining
Included in the Room and Board Fees, each Summer Special Group participant is automatically given Dine In Dollars, which can be used to purchase meals at DHFS-run dining facilities. The amount of Dine In Dollars will vary depending on the session.
How Dine In Dollars Work
Dine In Dollars are loaded onto the participant's UT ID card. The UT ID card is swiped at the dining center to purchase meals. The Dine In Dollar amount used is deducted from their balance once it is swiped, much like a debit card. If a participant needs to add Dine In Dollars, more can be added by cash or check at the main DHFS office.
Pricing
Dine in Dollars are accepted at DHFS-run dining locations, which are located throughout campus. There are two types of dining centers: all-you-care-to-eat (buffet) dining centers and a la carte dining centers. When eating in our all-you-care-to-eat dining centers, participants are charged the reduced residential price for meals. Pricing in the all-you-care-to-eat dining centers for Summer 2013 is:
- Breakfast: $3.80
- Lunch: $4.50
- Dinner: $4.89
