Moore-Hill, built between 1939 and 1956, houses a total of 390 residents in double room, community bath space. Location, amenities and traditions make this a wonderful place to call home.
A Bit of History
Hill Hall is named for Dr. Homer Barksdale Hill of Austin who volunteered to treat the UT Football team from the very first game in 1893 until his death on July 18, 1923. Dr. Hill recieved his MD from Tulane University and moved to Austin in 1889. Located just South of Hill Hall on 21st Street, the five story (including basement) Moore Hall connects with Hill Hall on the first, second and third floors. Moore Hall was named in memory of Dean Victor Ivan Moore who served as the Dean of Student Life from 1927 until his death on August 6, 1943.
