Goldsmith Hall, one of three buildings that house the School of Architecture. Designed by Paul Phillipe Cret, Goldsmith Hall was built in 1933 and expanded and renovated in 1988. Visible behind Goldsmith Hall is the Main Building (the Tower), which houses administrative offices.
Cultivated mind is the guardian genius of Democracy, and while guided and
controlled by virtue, the noblest attribute of man. It is the only dictator
that freemen acknowledge, and the only security which freemen desire.
Where liberty has arisen, learning must be cherished--or liberty itself
becomes a fragile thing.
