Credit card payment options The University of Texas at Austin implemented a new credit card policy on April 21, 2003, involving four major changes. The changes, primarily affecting students and parents, include assessing a 1.75 percent convenience charge to credit card payments and changes in the brands of cards accepted for tuition and mandatory fee payments. In accord with the new credit card policy, the Office of the Registrar now accepts only MasterCard and Discover for credit card transactions.
