MAY 20 TUESDAY. Registration and fee bill payment for students in the School of Law.

Classes begin in the School of Law for first-term two- and three-hour courses, whole-session four-hour courses, and clinics.

MAY 23 FRIDAY. Fourth class day in the School of Law; this is the date the official enrollment count is taken in the School of Law.
MAY 26 MONDAY. Memorial Day holiday.
MAY 27-29 TUESDAY-THURSDAY. Add/drop for the summer session for students who have registered and paid their fees.
MAY 31 SATURDAY. Summer residence halls open at 9:00 am.
JUNE 2 MONDAY. University Health Services benefits become available to all students.

Orientation begins for new undergraduate students.

JUNE 2-3 MONDAY-TUESDAY. Registration for the summer session. Students who register on June 2-3 will register for all courses to be taken during the summer session; to complete registration, fees must be paid no later than 5:00 pm on June 3.
JUNE 4 WEDNESDAY. Classes begin except in the School of Law.
JUNE 5 THURSDAY. Last day of the official add/drop period except in the School of Law; after this date, changes in registration require the approval of the chair and usually the student's dean. (See General Information, chapter 4, for required approvals.)
JUNE 9 MONDAY. Fourth class day except in the School of Law; this is the date the official enrollment count is taken.

Last day an undergraduate student may add a course except for rare and extenuating circumstances.

Payment for added courses (add bill) due.

Last day to drop a course for a possible refund. (See General Information, chapter 4, for required approvals.)

Last day a graduate student may, with the required approvals, add a course.

JUNE 11 WEDNESDAY. Last day to apply for a graduate degree.

Registration begins for the fall semester for new summer session students who have paid their fees for summer, and for continuing and readmitted students who have not yet registered for fall.

JUNE 17 TUESDAY. Last day to drop a course without a possible academic penalty. (See General Information, chapter 4, for required approvals.)

Last class day for first-term two-hour courses in the School of Law.

JUNE 18 WEDNESDAY. Reading day for first-term two-hour courses in the School of Law.
JUNE 19-20 THURSDAY-FRIDAY. Final examinations for first-term two-hour courses in the School of Law.
JUNE 24 TUESDAY. Last day a student may change registration in a course to or from the pass/fail or credit/no credit basis.

Last class day for first-term three-hour courses in the School of Law.

JUNE 25 WEDNESDAY. Reading day for first-term three-hour courses in the School of Law.
JUNE 25-27, 30 WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY, MONDAY. No classes for whole-session four-hour courses in the School of Law.
JUNE 26-27, 30 THURSDAY-FRIDAY, MONDAY. Final examinations for first-term three-hour courses in the School of Law.
JULY 1 TUESDAY. Classes begin in the School of Law for second-term two- and three- hour courses.
JULY 4 FRIDAY. Independence Day holiday.
JULY 9 WEDNESDAY. Last class day for first-term courses except in the School of Law.

Last day to drop a first-term course. (See General Information, chapter 4, for required approvals.)

JULY 10-11 THURSDAY-FRIDAY. Final examinations for first-term courses except in the School of Law. No classes for nine-week and whole-session courses except in the School of Law.
JULY 11 FRIDAY. Registration for students enrolling for second term only; to complete registration, fees must be paid no later than 5:00 pm.
JULY 14 MONDAY. Classes begin for second-term courses except in the School of Law.
JULY 15 TUESDAY. Last day of the official add/drop period for the second term except in the School of Law; after this date, changes in registration require the approval of the chair and usually the student's dean. (See General Information, chapter 4, for required approvals.)

JULY 25 FRIDAY. Last day to drop a second-term course without a possible academic penalty. (See General Information, chapter 4, for required approvals.)
JULY 29 TUESDAY. Last class day for nine-week courses except in the School of Law.

Last class day for second-term two- and three-hour courses in the School of Law.

Last class day for clinics in the School of Law.

JULY 30 WEDNESDAY. Reading day for second-term two- and three-hour courses in the School of Law.
JULY 30-31 WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY. Final examinations for nine-week courses except in the School of Law.
JULY 31-AUGUST 1, 4-5 THURSDAY-FRIDAY, MONDAY-TUESDAY. Final examinations for second-term two- and three-hour courses in the School of Law.
AUGUST 1 FRIDAY. Last day a student may change registration in a second-term course to or from the pass/fail or credit/no credit basis.
AUGUST 15 FRIDAY. Last class day for second-term and whole-session courses except in the School of Law.

Last day to submit master's report, recital, thesis, doctoral dissertation, or treatise to the graduate dean.

Last day to drop a second-term or whole-session course. (See General Information, chapter 4, for required approvals.)

AUGUST 16, 18 SATURDAY, MONDAY. Final examinations for second-term and whole-session courses except in the School of Law.
AUGUST 18 MONDAY. Official graduation date. (No public exercises.)
AUGUST 19 TUESDAY. Summer residence halls close at 9:00 am.
