The mission of the Office of Assessment within the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin is to guide and support assessment activities within the Division, and to collaborate with others across the campus to promote institutional effectiveness.

Services and Assistance
- Assistance with assessment plan development
- Expertise with development, implementation, analysis, and interpretation of assessment projects that provide high quality feedback for program improvement
- Assistance with research question development and research design
- Questionnaire design, survey administration, and data analysis
- Focus group design, facilitation, and analysis
- Program evaluations and smaller evaluations
- Quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting
- Development of custom workshops or trainings for DoSA units
- Support for StudentVoice and TracDat software programs

The Goals of the Office of Assessment for the Division of Student Affairs
- Improve programs, services, and ultimately, the student experience.
- Create and sustain a culture of excellence among staff and students that recognizes the value of assessment and institutional effectiveness.
- Document the collective Student Affairs story in an effective manner.
- Assess the needs and experiences of UT Austin students specifically in the areas of leadership development and civic engagement, progress from enrollment to graduation, access and inclusion, and wellness.
- Promote and sustain collaborative relationships with assessment, evaluation, and research colleagues across the entire campus.
