About The Center for Students in Recovery

The Center for Students in Recovery welcomes and supports all students in recovery at The University of Texas at Austin. We help students balance recovery while succeeding academically, by providing an inclusive community. CSR members enjoy access to scholarships, educational and service/outreach opportunities and a strong network of supportive peers who provide accountability. Our professional recovery support and peer-based recovery mentorship help students navigate the challenges of staying sober on a large college campus.

Our members vary greatly in terms of age, interests and stage of recovery. To join CSR, a student must be admitted to the University of Texas at Austin and committed to living clean and sober. Membership is free. Simply email us, and let us know when you would like to stop by!

CSR professional staff are in recovery themselves, and serve as vocal advocates and allies for students in recovery. We offer resources for information about recovery, coordinate and promote campus-wide sober social events and work to shift the perception of addiction recovery throughout the Forty Acres and beyond.
