At The Center for Students in Recovery, we SUPPORT students in recovery in many ways!
We PROVIDE students new to sobriety with the support and compassion they need to heal
We HELP students struggling with sobriety find the best treatment options, while keeping them connected to our community so they don't feel discouraged or alone
We CONNECT students in recovery into our welcoming, inclusive, on-campus recovery community: CSR
We INTEGRATE students in recovery from out-of-town into our CSR campus recovery community at The University of Texas at Austin and the surrounding recovery community in Austin

We help students in recovery find resources to provide personal growth in their sobriety
We link students in recovery to resources they need to succeed academically: tutors, advisors, mentors
We prepare students in recovery for life outside of the university with career planning sessions
We enrich the lives of our students in recovery by offering them scholarship opportunities
We provide students with service opportunities to help them stay 'spiritually fit' in school
We engage students in recovery by offering fun sober social activities and wellness events (yoga, meditation, kick-ball, sober dances)
We organize 12-step meetings at UT-CSR and around The University of Texas at Austin campus
We offer programming designed to help students in recovery integrate the principles of recovery into their daily lives (healthy relationships, self-compassion, forgiveness, honoring your addicted past while creating your recovery future, integrity in sobriety)
We serve ALL students: undergraduate, master's, and doctoral
Staff and faculty in recovery are also welcome to attend our programming
We also strategize with prospective students in recovery to help them get into The University of Texas at Austin!
We serve our campus and community to demonstrate that recovery is about living an exciting life of healing and hope!
We provide information on addiction, treatment, substance use research, and recovery
Our students regularly share their stories of recovery in college classrooms, middle/high schools, treatment centers, and faith-based organizations
Our members vary greatly in terms of age, interests, and stage of recovery. To join CSR, a student must be admitted to the University of Texas at Austin and interested in a clean and sober campus community. Membership is free. Simply email us, and let us know when you would like to stop by!
