Alumni
Since it opened in fall 1933, The Texas Union has served students faculty, staff and alumni of The University of Texas at Austin. All UT Austin alumni and friends are welcome to participate in Union alumni activities. Many alumni who participated in Union program committees and Union governance as students are already on the Union mailing list. Other alumni and friends of the Union will be added upon request.
The Union's mission is to enhance the student experience and to enrich campus life by providing cultural, educational, social and recreational programs as well as related goods and services to the campus community.
The Texas Union Advisory Council, an alumni development board, was created in 1983 to support this mission. The Council has created an array of gifting options for those who wish to show their support for the Union through financial contributions.
