Chemistry for BIO311C
This free, two-day workshop is designed to review the basic chemistry students need to know for an introductory biology course such as BIO 311C. We will discuss atoms, bonds, pH, the properties of water, molarity, and functional groups. The emphasis will be on the major elements found in biological systems (H, C, N, O, P, and S) and on biologically important molecules (water, methane, etc.).
