About half-way through the semester, Signature Course TA's solicit feedback from their students. Soliciting feedback at this time allows TA's to make adjustments that address student concerns, improve their teaching effectiveness, and increase overall student satisfaction with the course.
The results of this evaluation are confidential. The Signature Course training team does not see the results, but instead asks that TA's reflect on students' comments in their end-of-semester essays.
Students are asked by each TA to consider the following questions/ statements:
In what ways have discussion sections been helpful?
In what ways could they be improved?
I felt free to ask questions or express my ideas in discussion.
The TA showed interest in my progress.
The TA was available and helpful.
