At the end of the semester, Signature Course TA's interested in receiving the teaching certificate will be asked to submit a short (500 word) reflection piece on the challenges and rewards of working with first-year students and interdisciplinary curriculum, incorporating insights gained from mid-semester student feedback. Most teaching professionals report that writing a reflection piece is a very helpful way of clarifying the significance of a teaching experience and marking the way for continued improvement.
