Elaine Bailey
Graduate Assistant
Teaching Teams Program (TTP)
Elaine Bailey received a B.A. in Sociology from Barnard College in New York City. She is currently pursuing a PhD in School Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin with research interests in academic and behavioral interventions for children with learning disabilities and behavior disorders. She currently serves as the graduate assistant for the Teaching Teams Program (TTP), for which she assists the Program Coordinator with recruiting, training, implementing, and studying the effectiveness of the TTP for courses in the Natural Sciences. In addition, she provides walk-in academic counseling for students and takes personal appointments to assist students with note taking, reading, and test preparation.
When not devoting her time and energy to the UTLC and her graduate studies, Elaine enjoys doing yoga, watching movies, spending time with her dog and her boyfriend, and taking advantage of all that the great city of Austin has to offer. She is a cesspool of knowledge regarding 80s pop culture, a connoisseur of good beer, a maniac on the dance floor, and enjoys torturing listeners with her musical stylings at karaoke establishments.
