Grace Pratt, M.A.

Graciela Pratt oversees the administration of the Appointment Tutoring Program, which utilizes the talents of approximately 150 undergraduate and graduate tutors. She is responsible for the hiring, training, and certification of all tutors. Grace is also responsible for the development and implementation of instructional programs for the Developmental Math program at the UT Learning Center.
Grace holds a B.A in English, B.S. in Mathematics, and an M.A. in Developmental and Adult Education. Currently she co-teaches a class on study skills, Secrets of Academic Success. She has also taught the Math GRE, the Final Exam Review for Math 305G, and the Math Anxiety Workshop for the UT Learning Center.
Grace is the current treasurer for the Hispanic Faculty/Staff Association (HFSA). She has served from 2006 through 2008. She is on the executive board for the YWCA of Austin as a member at large. Grace enjoys her work as staff advisors for Sigma Delta Lambda and the Hispanic Student Association. From 2004 to 2006 she served for two terms as treasurer for the Association for Professionals in Student Affairs (APSA).
Grace and her husband, Wally have surpassed their 25th wedding anniversary and enjoy sneaking away together. They have five children: Tomas, Timothy, Terra, Taylor and Christian. Grace and Wally have 2 grandchildren, Aeben and Akia, and enjoy spending time with them. Tomas is living and working in Blanco. Timothy is living and working in Pflugerville. Terra is currently attending the University of Texas at San Antonio. Taylor is a senior at Pflugerville High School completing high school in three years and is graduating May 2008. Christian is a second grader at Timmerman Elementary in Pflugerville.
Grace is spending her free time as head coach for the U8 Boys Storm and the U10 Girls Lady Fire Dragons soccer teams out of Pflugerville. She enjoys reading, learning, old movies, travelling, fishing and great food.
