Jay Whitehead

Jay received his Master's degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005. Throughout his academic career he has been involved in various forms of mathematics education and has a particular passion for teaching. Currently, he supervises the Drop-In Tutoring service, coordinates the Learning Center's mathematics classes and workshops, and enjoys researching and presenting mathematics education-related topics at conferences.

Jay's personal interests include outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, swimming, and manual labor. When indoors, he watches cheesy scifi movies and reads books about the sciences.
