All University of Texas student are member of Student Government. Members are encouraged to attend weekly Student Government meetings, Agency meetings, and participate in forums, events, and social activities. Members do not need to hold a title to participate in activities nor to work on important campus issues. Those members that do hold a title are categorized as follows. Click each division below to view the current administration office holders for each position within those divisions.

Executive Board

All Executive Board members are responsible for attending weekly Executive Board meetings as well as weekly general assembly meetings. During general assembly meetings, each executive board member is required to give an update on his/her progress and happenings of the previous week. Each Executive Board member is responsible for advising one of the six standing representative committees and ensuring the productivity of their respective committee. Each executive board member has specific tasks and initiatives that he or she is responsible for according to their individual position. A minimum of 40 office hours a month is required to receive a stipend.

Representatives

All Representatives are responsible for attending weekly student government meetings, weekly standing committee meetings, and participating in at least one office hour a week. Representatives are also responsible for creating and maintaining student government initiaitves and reporting about them to both the general assembly during meetings and to the Communications director each week for the newsletter. College specific representatives are responsible for communicating with their respective college councils and attending all council meetings and functions.

Agency Directors

All Student Government Agencies are responsible for creating and maintaining Agency membership, having regular meetings, giving updates on Agency progress during SG meetings, as well as reporting Agency progress to the Executive Director, and submitting a written report at least every two weeks to the Communications Director.

External Positions

All External Campus Committee and Board appointees are responsible for attending all committee or board meetings and submitting electronic minutes of those meetings to the President and the Communications Director. Appointees must also provide a written report for the general assembly each Tuesday, which should be submitted to the Secretary by Monday evening. Weekly attendance at student government assembly meetings is also highly encouraged.
