1996: What's Good, Comments from Users
Just a note to say how impressed and grateful I am for the wealth of
information on the UTAustin web, particularly in the learn-web section...but also in the administrative computing section. Learn-web gives me lots of
information for guiding my web devlopment efforts, and -- since I'm developing
a web site for administrative computing here at Bowdoin College -- the
administrative computing pages give me ideas for what kinds of information to
include in our administrative computing web site here.

Your site really is one of the best. I feel like we can use it as our example
of excellence as we try to move our web presence from the Dark Ages into the
dawn of the 21st century.

The Web page for your university is great. I can use it to find out
information about students' email addresses and phone numbers. I really
like the page a lot. Thanks.

Congratulations! You're just about the only people on the Web smart enough not
to make overly Netscape enhanced pages.

I was very proud to see the world-class Web site the University has.
I graduated in 1992 and left Austin in 1994. However, through the
Web-site I can keep up with my horns and with what is happening
in the best University in this world. Go Horns...Keep the excellence
up there.

Like many people who have left comments here about the Web site, I just
thought I'd say that when I was looking for a graduate school, the design
of the Web page played more than a small part in the decision, as
arbitrary as that sounds. Do I think the UT Web Central is good? I'm
attending UT now, if that's any indication!

I thoroughly enjoyed perusing this Website, and as a future UT Austin
student, was pleased to see how much information is available to me anytime
that I want it. The pictures were incredible and the information was very
current and up-to-date. Nothing could possibly have made me happier.
Thanks again.

I work for Georgia State University. We are in the process of setting up a
core group of individuals for our Web team. Many people, including my self,
admire the detail and structure of the University of Texas at Austin's Web page
and would like to model our pages after yours.

Hi. I just wanted to write because I've been searching university Web sites to
explore possible grad schools (I'm an art history major), and I just wanted to
thank you, because UT's has been the most convenient to use for this purpose of
all the ones I've seen so far. Thanks.

Harried parent would like to extend my congratulations on the composition
of your pages...you would not believe how many universities I have
visited via the NET in my attempt to help my daughter explore
universities, look for addresses/phone numbers for application/
admission requests....I found your information in RECORD TIME! Nicely
done.

In searching the Web for information about the Ph.D. programs I have applied
to, yours is by far the best. Your Web provides the most information, not only
about UT, but also about Austin which is essential for me. Thank you so much
for the information!

after having much frustration your guide helped me to get my maps up and
