Notes from Digital Video Producers Meeting on
April 16, 2003

Diane Gierisch gave a demonstration of Camtasia, a very easy to use screen-capturing application. Camtasia Studio is a product by TechSmith and is available from their website (www.techsmith.com/) for a free 30 day trial. VNC (Virtual Computing Network) the application used to capture Mac OSX desktops. It is available at www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/ and comes in a variety of flavors, Mac, Windows, Linux, Solaris, etc.

David Cox gave a report on NAB. As soon as his report is finished, a link to it it will be included here.

Quinn Stewart showed and talked about the creation of the Photojournalism and the American Presidency videos. If you haven't seen this site, take a look (http://www.cah.utexas.edu/photojournalism/sneakpreview.php).

We will have another round of creating videos for the examples section of the Web Video Guidelines. Quinn Stewart will get a copy of the videos to you for this shoot-out.
