Notes from Digital Video Producers Workshop on Video Captioning
July 17, 2002

On Wednesday, July 17 we conducted a workshop on including captioning or a text track with video. This is an important component to making Web videos accessible to the entire UT Austin community.

Dan Peters from the Faculty Innovation Center (www.fic.engr.utexas.edu) in the College of Engineering gave the presentation on video captioning and WindowsMedia Format using MAGpie. Resources include:

Quinn Stewart from the Graduate School of Library and Information Science gave the presentation on video captioning and RealMedia files using SMIL. Resources include:

Andy Greer from Enterprise Information Services in ITS (Information Technology Services) gave the presentation on video captioning and QuickTime movies using QuickTimePro. Resources include:
