In September 1993, Academic Computing staff began a prototype home page for
the University. General Library staff joined the effort in January 1994. The
result, UT Austin Web Central, was registered and announced
on 22 April 1994. Administrative Computing joined the effort when TeamWeb was
officially created, on 6 February 1995.
