What types of recreational activities are available to students?

The Division of Recreational Sports offers intramural sports, fitness and wellness activities including group exercise classes, massage and personal trainers, an outdoor recreation program featuring trips, indoor climbing and a resource center, over 40 student-led sport clubs and certification classes. Ten facilities are open to students for recreational opportunities: Gregory Gym, Recreational Sports Center, Anna Hiss Gym, Belmont Hall, Clark Field, Jamail Texas Swimming Center, Penick-Allison Tennis Center, Pickle Research Campus Recreational Center, Whitaker Fields and Whitaker Tennis. In the fall of 2005, the renovation of Gregory Gym was completed with the addition of a new Gregory Aquatics Complex, which includes two indoor and three outdoor pools, spa, deck space, lounging ledge, Poolside Café and much more.
All currently enrolled students are eligible to participate in RecSports activities. Students gain access to recreational facilities by presenting their current UT ID card. Valid dates for students run concurrently with each academic session. Interim Student Passes are available for purchase by students who are not taking classes during the summer. Proof of spring or fall enrollment is required.
Currently enrolled UT Austin students are eligible to sponsor either a spouse or adult exercise partner and any dependent children. Students must appear, in person, in the Membership Services Office, Gregory 2.202, and agree to sponsor or re-sponsor each semester. All membership fees are due at the time of purchase. Fees are prorated on the first of each month.

Information on RecSports is available online at www.utrecsports.org and by telephone at 512-471-3116 for program activities and 512-471-6370 for facilities and membership questions.
How can I get season tickets to UT sporting events?

The most economical way for UT students to attend regular-season home athletic events is through the purchase of the Longhorn All-Sports Package (LASP). For one low price, this incredible package provides access to tickets, the opportunity to sit together as a group and the chance to purchase tickets for your friends and guests. In the fall, UT ticketed sports are soccer, volleyball, football and men's and women's basketball. In the spring semester, ticketed sports are men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball and men's and women's tennis.
All UT students are eligible to purchase the LASP at any time. The best time to purchase is at the beginning of the academic year when the cost covers both the fall and spring semesters. The LASP price is pro-rated for the spring semester. Students may purchase the package during fall and spring registration periods via ROSE (online registration) using the option fee code number 21. The LASP does not cover any postseason, Big 12 or NCAA championship events. However, a small allotment of tickets for postseason events may be available for purchase by LASP holders. For these events, seats are sold on a first-come-first-served basis or a lottery will be held for available seats.
Students who have purchased the LASP are also eligible to purchase the package for their spouse or dependent. Guest tickets for all home football games (including Parents' Weekend), if such tickets are available, will be limited. Guest tickets for men's basketball are available only in the mezzanine and in limited quantities for prime games. For most other events, there are opportunities to purchase guest and additional tickets, often in close proximity to the LASP holder.
Students may purchase the LASP at the Athletics Ticket Office in Bellmont Hall weekdays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (CST). For more information, telephone 800-982-2386 or 512-471-3333.
Tickets may also be obtained through membership in the Longhorn Foundation, the principal fundraising arm of UT Men's and Women's Athletics. For donation deadlines and other Foundation information, telephone 512-471-4439.
