Applicants to the Texas IP must be in good academic standing in the College of Liberal Arts or the College of Natural Sciences.
To apply to the program or to submit your topic proposal, click on the link to the right. Our online application and topic proposal documents have a one-hour time limit.
The application document will take no more than 10 minutes to complete. If you're submitting a topic proposal, we suggest you cut and paste from a word processing document before you click on "topic proposal." You'll need to provide the following responses:
• Personal Information: name, email, phone, EID
• School Information: major, college, expected date of graduation
• Proposed topic title
• Proposed courses (3 preferred, 3 alternatives)
• Answers to the following questions:
(1) Describe your topic of study. What academic disciplines does it cross over?
(2) Why are you interested in studying this topic?
(3) What is one specific question in this area that interests you, and why does it merit academic study?
(4) Explain how each of your proposed courses fit into this topic of study. What do you hope to learn from each?
