Scholarships
The Texas IP provides scholarships
for IP students interested in research, internships,
study abroad opportunities, and conference presentations
related to their chosen topic.
• Research scholarships
are intended to help students participate in the
creation of knowledge, whether that be a chemistry
laboratory on campus, a privately run think tank
in Washington D.C., or an archeological dig for
Caddo artifacts in central Texas.
• Internship scholarships
are designed to foster connections between the
student and communities beyond the campus. Like
those in research, internship scholarships can
support work either on- or off-campus, including
positions that are outside Austin.
• Study Abroad
scholarships are designed to assist with
the cost of travel to areas where the student
has identified a course or program of study outside
the U.S. that's related to his or her topic.
• Conference presentation
scholarships are available for selected
students who have had a conference presentation
proposal accepted at one of several academic conferences
in the U.S. that showcase undergraduate work.
Scholarships are competitive.
Travel awards will typically not cover 100 percent
of travel expenses.
Students
should review scholarship guidelines before completing
the application. Please note application deadlines
listed on the Calendar.
