Texas Natural Science Center is proud to host a variety of programs for children and adults throughout the year. With guided museum group tours, weekend family programs, special exhibit openings, and events like Family Fossil Fun Day, there's something for everyone.

Self-guided and Guided Tours
Self-guided tours are offered year round. Guided tours for Summer 2009 are offered from May 26 through August 14. Guided tours for Fall 2009 are offered from September 14 through December 4. Guided tours focus on the themes of wildlife, biodiversity, fossils and prehistoric life.

Professional Development

Variation, Selection and Inheritance and Evolution in the Fossil Record Teacher Training Series
Work with University of Texas scientists to investigate concepts of evolution utilizing techniques from DNA analysis to interpreting the fossil record in these free, week long workshops.

Texas: Past, Present and Future Summer 2009 Teacher Training
Work with TNSC educators and scientists to learn how a visit to the Texas Memorial Museum can complement your classroom instruction. Topics covered in this free TEKS-aligned professional development workshop include geology, paleontology and Texas wildlife.

Programs
Museum Express is a series of outreach education programs for grades K-8 in which museum scientists visit a class and offers students the chance to see and touch scientific specimens.
