Taxonomic updates and new images are ongoing and we welcome your input.

This project is being supported by the National Science Foundation through their Biological Research Collections program (DBI 0646468). The type and figured collection is estimated at 22,000 invertebrate fossil and plant specimens to date we have relocated almost 18,000 specimens to the new Type and Figured controlled environment.

The Texas Natural Science Center has been able to provide additional support to ensure that the data and specimen images are made available to the research community and to the public as envisioned in the original proposal, circumventing unforeseen third party software delays.
