Turritella shippi
The apical angle is 8.5, the sutural angle 10. The shell is
small, elongated, and the sides of the whorls are straight. The
whorls are five or more in number, the suture is well impressed at the
bottom of a well defined channel. The ornamentation of the the shell
consists of a stereotypical arrangement of six ribs, and lines of growth
cover the whorls. This specimen was found in the Buda limestone,
Shoal Creek, Austin, Texas.
